AGENDA OF EVENTS
All events

For the whole of the duration of Expo (1 May – 31 October) there will be numerous activities in the Italian Pavilion which will contribute to illustrate the philosophy behind our participation in the exhibition.
The agenda of events which will take place, not only in our pavilion but also in other areas inside the Exhibition Park and generally in the city of Shanghai, will be published in 2010.

October 28, 21 PM - Courtyard Italy Pavilion
The renown Italian composer and singer in his first performance in China will play solo inside the Italian Pavilion
October 22 - Europe Square (Expo Park)
A concert with the most famous sountracks of Italian movies.
October 16 to 19 - Europe Square (Expo Park)
The stars of Italian jazz will perform in Shanghai. The pianist Stefano Bollani, vocalist Gege Telesforo, trumpeters Enrico Rava and Paolo Fresu are some of the made in Italy jazz artists who will be attending the Expo.

September 18 - Europe Square (Expo Park)
The vitality of the music of the Orchestra of Piazza Vittorio will pace the feast. The origins of the Piazza Vittorio neighborhood can be traced to the Esquiline hill in Rome, inhabited by different ethnic groups living together in the capital.
September 17 7.30 PM - Auditorium Expo (Expo Park)
The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala conducted by Semyon Bychov and with the special participation of the young musician Yuja Wang of Chinese origin that has been collecting successes all over the world.

Classical music is back with flutist Andrea Griminelli, who accompanied on many occasions the unforgettable maestro Luciano Pavarotti in his successful tour in the United States

Artistic Director Gianadrea Noseda will perform the nineteenth century opera choirs composed by Giuseppe Verdi, the composer of some of the most beautiful and famous operatic melodies of our tradition and Ambassador of Italy in the world.

With Giorgia Fumanti it's the moment of the italian pop music. The italian soprano and pop singer is very famous all over the world and, above all, in China.

The winner of the competition among opera singers from around the world, chosen by a panel of experts will perform in its "Prima" accompanied by a Chinese orchestra.

Uto Ughi, considered one of the best violinists alive, will be accompanied on piano by Alessandro Specchi.
May 16 to 22 - Auditorium of the Italian Pavilion

The first appointment is with the Ethnos Group, a folk band from Basilicata, which will bring to China ancient folk melodies of this rich region of southern Italy.
